Yesterday my counselor told me that my brain forgets or hides memories and events to protect me. Deep down, I want to know what happened.
All my life I've heard I was crazy. Even today. I'm depressed and hurt, but most importantly, alone.
I've been asking myself why I'm alive. What's the purpose of life? No clear answer comes to mind. I don't want to keep living a lie.
I'm writing this here so it exists outside my head. That night ended. Most of them do. If you are in this exact place right now, please tell someone — you can call or text 988 in the US.
A reflection
What have you never said out loud because you were afraid of the word 'crazy'?
The Library and its companions are not therapy, medical treatment, or emergency support. If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency number. In the US you can call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
